My Grandma’s Vintage bags

15 May

 Vintage clothing has never been so “in”.

For those who don’t know the word “vintage” is taken from its use in wine terminology as a more elegant-seeming softened expression for “old”  and refers to clothing from the 1920s to the 1980s.

Various are the reasons why so many people have lately been attracted to vintage, for example the quality is generally excellent, every piece is unique, or almost  unnique- many items were in fact hand-made and hand-finished, the detailing carries huge importance, you will find a lot of unusual buttons, hand embroidery, handmade lace, crochet, applique, beading and other techniques. Also vintage usually sells for a cost which is far below other new garments and thanks to the wide range of particular pieces it gives you the possibility to be creative and produce a one of a kind look!

Personally I am one big fan of vintage clothing and accessories, especially bags! One of the things  I love doing the most is to rummage through my mom’s closet, I always find lots of interesting stuff.  The other day I was looking at her  bags collection  and I must say she has some cool pieces though most of them were my grandma’s ..

I decided to upload some pictures to share with you these beautiful Italian handmade  bags, the leather is still smooth and perfect, the design immortal and to me a couple of them are a lot better than any brand bag you can buy nowadays!

Traduzione Italiana;
